What We Do
How are the cake toppers made?
Each cake topper is made to order, based on the information provided by the customer, so that the figures are modelled as close as possible to the people they will resemble. The cake toppers are made from polymer clay which is baked at 130°C for 35 minutes. Once hardened the toppers are then varnished (if required) and the finishing touches are made. These include beads, sparkles, gem stones and other materials.
What size are the toppers?
Each topper is made to order so their size depends on the instructions provided. The image on the right shows the size of a typical couple beside a 50 pence coin, but it's important to remember that each figure is made to your individual specifications so whatever you want, let us know!
Do we use moulds?
Each cake top figure is custom-made -no moulds are used. Our gallery will testify that a lot of intricate work goes into each figure; each hair is made from individual strands of clay, each flower is crafted individually, and jewellery and material are added once the clay has been fired to finalise the toppers to your individual specification.
